Gavin Richardson

Job title: Head of Residential

Date joined: October 2016

Role: Gavin heads up the residential desk, responsible for all regulated mortgage activity within the business including brokering, compliance, training and recruitment. It is Gavin’s duty to ensure targets are met within the residential team, so she is constantly looking for sales opportunities and works closely with marketing to ensure nothing is missed.

Experience: An experienced mortgage adviser with over 12 years' experience in the financial services industry. As well as obtaining his CeMAP and Cert CII qualifications, Gavin also holds a diploma in Financial Services. Gavin has worked for some big names including HSBC, Lloyds TSB and NatWest. During his time within the financial services industry Gavin advised on mortgages, life cover, pensions and investments. Taking a break from the sector Gavin spent the last three years making a career out of one of his passions - rugby. He worked as a full-time rugby coach for England RFU, Harlequins RFU and Sussex University - where he still coaches in his spare time.

Likes: Rugby... obviously

Dislikes: Always being injured

"From the first day that I contacted ‘Mortgages for business’ and spoke to Gavin, right through to the completion of the mortgage, the two of you have delivered outstanding client service.

You have been hugely proactive, supportive and helpful throughout. Always responding very quickly to emails and questions and really helped to get things sorted with the various lawyers by thinking outside the box and getting involved.

Thank you again for all of this - I look forward to the next refinancing working with you when we finish our current development (which should be autumn of this year!) – lets speak then!"  A.M, Reading
