Plans unveiled for new skyscrapers - property development financePublished: 14.5.2008Plans have been unveiled for a major new commercial office development in one of Manchester''s main economic hubs.A mixed-use scheme, consisting of 8,000 sq m of office space plus hotel and apartment accommodation has been unveiled by architects HKR on behalf of developers Howard Holdings, with the six buildings in the development including two towers of 37 and 23 storeys respectively to be built in the Old Trafford area, Skyscraper News reports. Known as Stratum, the project will cost £180 million in Property Development Finance to build. The site, close to the Manchester United football stadium, is on the edge of the Trafford Park industrial estate and close to the commercial and residential developments of Salford Quays.
