Inverness office building proposed - property development financePublished: 15.5.2008A new office building costing £35 million of Property Development Finance is reportedly set to be constructed in the heart of Inverness. The proposed four-story building will have 6,000 sq ft of retail spaces and 18,000 of office space, the Press and Journal reports. Such a move would be in defiance of recent trends as no new office buildings have been constructed in the city centre in the last four years as the establishment of new commercial promises has increasingly been occurring in out-of-town developments and business parks, the paper notes. The development manager of the firm behind the plan, Charles Barbour of Aviemore-based Upland Developers, told the paper: "There is a lack of the right quality of offices in the city centre. A lot are older stock that don''t readily meet the needs of modern day office occupiers." While Inverness may be reversing its trend of moving offices from city centres to business parks, more office space has become available in a business park in Cheshire. Commercial Development Projects is now marketing the latest office units in the Cinnabar Court development at Daresbury Park in Warrington, the Liverpool Daily Post reports. ![]() Mortgages for Business - market leading Buy to Let mortgages and Commercial mortgages.
