John established the Manchester Office of Mortgages for Business in 1994, after 12 years of experience in the commercial mortgage industry. During his career John has dealt with a wide range of transactions including investment properties residential and commercial, nursing homes, factories, warehouses, offices, shops and projects for housing associations. John manages the financing of a number of 50 + Buy to Let property portfolios and has developed a substantial client and professional contact base throughout the North of England.

With a history of high profile management roles in a number of leading financial institutions, including The Royal Bank of Scotland, Citibank International and Allied Irish Bank, John joined Mortgages for Business in January 2002. During his time at Citibank John was responsible for commercial mortgage business with property values up to £10m and was responsible for the management of a £500m loan portfolio in the North West region.

Gavin joined Mortgages for Business in April 2004, after holding management positions at the Britannia Building Society and senior roles at Chase de Vere Investments. Gavin has significant knowledge and experience in the Buy to Let mortgage market following his previous role as a quailfied Buy to Let specialist with London and Country Mortgages, with whom he had a 4 year career. During his career at the Britannia Building Society, Gavin was twice nominated for a national customer service award for his efforts to meet his business customers expectations.

After a diverse career in a number of commercial development and office management roles, Melissa joined Mortgages for Business in 2004 with responsibility for developing business process expertise in our Manchester office. Having managed the development of the office into a fully fledged packaging centre during a period of intensive revenue and profit growth, Melissa, ever eager to embrace new challenges, made the switch to mortgage consultancy in 2005, with a special responsibility of developing new buy to let client relationships in the North West.

Andy had a 21 year career with Nat West where he dealt with all areas of retail banking and eventually the role of Financial Planning Manager.He has worked for several large mortgage brokerages including John Charcol and Hamptons before joining Mortgages for Business in 2007. Andy is developing the residential mortgage side of the business under the Mortgages for Me banner. His professional qualifications include the Financial Planning Certificate and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. He is also a member of the Society of Mortgage Professionals.
