The record low mortgage rates are starting to disappear. Beckie Pepperrell, Head of Residential looks at which lenders have already started pulling rates and what options are still available for those looking to fix.

We knew mortgage rates had to start rising sooner or later, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise…

In the last couple of weeks, we have seen the following changes:

  • Virgin increase all fixed rate pricing
  • Skipton increase fixed rate pricing by an average of 0.2bps
  • NatWest increase fixed rate pricing by up to 20bps
  • Santander increase pricing by 20bps
  • Bank of Ireland increase fixed rate pricing
  • Accord pull seven headline rates
  • Barclays pull rates and increase pricing between 12 and 20bps
  • Halifax increase pricing by 20bps
  • Leeds withdraw headline rates

Don't panic though, there are still some very competitive rates out there. A selection of which are listed below.
