Aberdeen ''top for office rental growth'' - commercial mortgages
20 November 2007
Firms with commercial mortgages in Aberdeen have seen prime office rents rise sharply over the past six months, a new report from Knight Frank has shown.
Rents in the city have risen faster than anywhere else over the period, increasing by 12 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2007.
The study also revealed that London continued to show strong growth, with rents in the City and West End rising by ten per cent.
The Aberdeen market has performed exceptionally well this year and a lack of high quality grade A stock has continued to drive rents in the city, said Katherine Monro from Knight Frank in Aberdeen, according to CityWire.
The report follows research published last week by Lloyds TSB Scotland which revealed that Aberdeen is also currently host to the highest level of annualised house price growth in Scotland.
