Alliance & Leicester commits to commercial sector - commercial mortgages

Alliance & Leicester has announced a new head of commercial property finance in what it is proclaiming as evidence of its commitment to the commercial property industry.
Ray Ellis will take up the role following his move from Bradford & Bingley, Alliance & Leicester have revealed, asserting that the firm''s lending teams will now be expanded over the course of the next two years.
The firm currently offers commercial mortgages at both fixed and variable rates, with loans of up to £10 million.
"Alliance & Leicester is a major brand in retail property finance and in recent years we have established our commercial property finance franchise with a very experienced commercial property finance team. However we aim to increase our profile, scope and scale in this sector," commented the firm''s director of corporate banking Bryce Glover.
"I look forward to building the team and building on the success the bank has already achieved to position it as a leading provider of commercial property finance in the UK market," added Mr Ellis.
