Bradford project part-funded by £1 million commercial mortgage

12 April 2011

Written by Jenny Barrett

A development in Bradford has been part-financed by a £1 million commercial mortgage from the Charity Bank, according to the town's Telegraph and Argus.

Two buildings containing 14 workspaces and 14 offices are to be built at Inspire Bradford Business Park near Eccleshill Community Hospital.

Europe's biggest straw-bale constructions will be included in the project, which is worth £4 million.

The news provider reported that Stainforth Construction has been contracted for the work by owners and managers of the site the Newlands Community Association.

Other finance for the project has come from the European Regional Development Fund, Bradford Council's Local Enterprise Growth Initiative and the Communitybuilders fund.

The two buildings set for construction contain 2,787 square metres between them and their construction is expected to be finished by early 2012.

Ed Stansfield, property economist at research consultancy Capital Economics, recently stated that there is "fairly health demand" for commercial real estate at the moment.
