Business Moneyfacts Awards held today - commercial mortgages

Today sees the Business Moneyfacts Awards being held in London, with Mortgages for Business being nominated for Broker of the Year in the commercial mortgages category.

The event, hosted at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Sqaure, brings together some of the leading firms in the sector in order to recognise "outstanding service levels".

Moneyfacts, the organiser of the occasion, described it as the "single most important awards ceremony in the business and commercial finance calendar".

Other nominees include Abbey, NatWest, HSBC, Barclays, Alliance & Leicester and the Bank of Scotland, which are all up for Business Bank of the Year.

Monitoring of the companies' products has been carried out throughout the year, while feedback has been gathered from the community on the service received by nominees.

Meanwhile, Moneyfacts has claimed that banks have taken over from building societies in offering the most competitive mortgage and savings products.
