Business Moneyfacts nominees unveiled - commercial mortgages

In news that may be relevant to those with commercial mortgages, the potential winners of the eighth annual Business Moneyfacts awards have been announced.

They are designed to recognise finance organisations that have supported the business sector over the past few months and the winners will be unveiled at a ceremony on March 26th.

Support for firms is now more important than ever before, noted Lee Tilcock, the editor of Business Moneyfacts.

He added that the organisation has been "greatly impressed" with the level of commitment shown by brokers and service providers.

Mr Tilcock claimed that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are a key factor in fighting the recession, saying: "As with previous recessionary periods, it will be SMEs that lead an economic recovery through innovation and determination."

HSBC, Bank of Scotland, Abbey, Barclays and Alliance & Leicester Commercial have all been nominated for Business Bank of the Year at the awards.
