Business park at centre of Oldham regeneration - commercial mortgages
07 December 2006
Proposals for the development of a 500,000 sq ft office park in Oldham are being welcomed by the local council.
The Hollinwood development, which the council aims to be ready for tenants by 2008, is expected to form part of a new business area of Oldham in an effort to attract new investment, including from those with commercial mortgages, the Manchester Evening News (MEN) reports.
Commenting on the project, Malcolm Grestly, director of Midas, claims that there is a growing demand for new business developments outside city centres.
"The new business district in Hollinwood will play a key role in attracting many new businesses to the area and further improve what Greater Manchester has to offer companies who are looking to relocate to the region," he told the newspaper.
Last month, Mark Keirl, partner at Roger Hannah, told the MEN that the regeneration of Oldham is beginning to progress.
Mr Keirl said that the town is becoming an increasingly "vibrant" location.
