Business start-ups being considered - commercial mortgages

25 June 2009

There are "many more people" than in previous years who are seeing opportunities to start up their own business, according to national enterprise network the NFEA.

The group has claimed that this attitude is being taken by people who have been made redundant, but do not want to start applying for new jobs.

Some of the issues people establishing their own business need to consider are finance related, including whether or not commercial mortgages are required, and the NFEA is running a special event next month to help budding entrepreneurs.

Between July 6th and 10th, the first ever Home Enterprise Week will take place, which is particularly aimed at home-based businesses and the people involved in running them.

Activities during the five-day period will focus on providing more exposure and support for existing home businesses, as well as introducing the home enterprise concept to future start-ups.
