Commercial prospects strong in Kent - commercial mortgages
29 October 2007
Commercial property is still prospering in Kent and looks set to continue to do so in the long-term, according to the latest Kent Property Market Report.
The expansion of regional business parks has been a significant feature of the market in recent times, the report suggests, with recent activity including the relocation of MHS Homes.
Meanwhile the office market continues to perform well in relation to similar markets in the south-east, the report added.
"Transport links and developments in Thames Gateway Kent have been the catalysts for the area''s regeneration, and we are seeing good levels of investment across the county," said Bill Siegle, head of Cluttons'' commercial division.
"Developments at business parks including Chatham Maritime and Eureka Park in Ashford, and new leisure facilities in Folkestone, Dover and Margate are just a handful of examples. These are exciting times for Kent," Mr Siegle added.
Those with commercial mortgages in the region also stand to benefit from increased office demand in the coming months, the report implied.
