Coventry to be represented at commercial property show - commercial mortgages
04 January 2007
West Midlands city Coventry is to be represented at a commercial property show in Cannes, France, this March.
During the event, property firm Cannon Kirk will be able to showcase its proposals for a three million sq ft redevelopment project of the city''s Friargate area, a scheme which could lead to a number of commercial mortgages being taken out.
The Birmingham Post reports that the city has been represented at the MIPIM show in previous years, but 2007 will involve its largest ever presence.
Cannon Kirk UK chief executive Michael Broughton told the publication: "MIPIM is recognised as the greatest showcase event in the property world which is why we want to promote Friargate, our transformation of the area around the station, but the very fact that everyone is working together will allow the city to punch above its weight."
He added that the cooperation between a number of developers and agents gives the group "great heart" for the future of Coventry.
The Liverpool Echo also reports that Liverpool will be represented at the event which takes place between March 13th and 16th 2007.
