Develop property with a fresh new look

12 March 2010

Written by Michael Aglony

Property development finance could be spent on updating a house and giving it a fresh new look this Easter.

According to the Ideal Home Show, it is not complicated to create a new look in a property.

Home improvements expert at the show George Clarke said: "My ultimate, simple killer tip for revamping a home quickly, [is to] paint a room white to instantly give it a fresh new look."

Buy to let landlords may find this information particularly useful, as it can allow tenants to put their own stamp on a property.

Adding pictures and accessories gives colour to rooms that are completely white, Mr Clarke explained.

Crown suggests painting just one wall with a bright new colour to boost a room without having to makeover the whole space.

Mr Clarke also suggests that property development finance could be spent on getting a plasterer to skim walls.

This would be good for walls that are in a poor state and that need a more modern, cleaner look.
