A property industry expert has offered his views on the current state of the commercial property market, which may interest those considering taking out business mortgages in the coming months.
Richard Bowser, editor at Property Investor News, said that there has been a recovery in the prime commercial markets.
He also indicated that yields are being compressed because there is a shortage of commercial prime stock available.
And despite prices being down on recent years, it would seem would-be business mortgage holders are showing an interest in investing.
The current situation "is encouraging a lot of people who take a longer term view to say that the bottom has been reached and the market is coming off the bottom, so the risk element is removed going forward", Mr Bowser explained.
His comments come after Barclays Wealth and the Economist Intelligence Unit reported yesterday (November 30th) 68 per cent of investors think there are opportunities in the commercial property sector to take advantage of.
