Female landlords 'more sympathetic' - buy to let mortgages
27 May 2009
Lady landlords are more sympathetic to the needs of their tenants, according to a survey by the National Landlords Association (NLA).
The organisation has released a number of information about females with buy to let mortgages in the last few weeks, ahead of the NLA Property Women Awards later this year.
Nominations are currently being received for the various categories, including Young Property Woman of the Year - which is sponsored by the Association of Residential Letting Agents - and Green Property Woman of the Year.
People questioned in the latest NLA research indicated that meeting tenants' needs is even more important during times of recession.
"[Respondents] also felt that female landlords were likely to pay more attention to detail, spending more time and money on aesthetics and the 'little touches' which make a home more comfortable," the NLA stated.
