Finance may be needed to make property greener

Homeowners may find they have to spend property development finance on making their houses more energy efficient.
This is because the National Home Improvement Council has recommended that mortgages should be held back to those wanting to buy such properties.
Director at the organisation Andrew Leech says that people wanting to put their homes on the market could then be encouraged to make it greener in order to get a sale.
He went on to explain that it is important that something is done to enhance the eco credentials of homes in the country.
This is particularly crucial if the government's 2050 targets will be met.
"It is very important that this is happening because this is definitely the way that we have all got to go and we can't afford to hang around either," Mr Leech added.
His comments follow results from Communities and Local Government's English Housing Survey, which found social sector homes to be more energy efficient that private rented properties.
