Property development finance may be used to build innovative homes that combine elements of nature with the most modern designs.
According to the Telegraph, using glass in property construction is becoming increasingly popular and many developers have "cottoned on" to its allure.
Speaking to Jessop and Kay Price, who own a glass home, the writer explained that the views of the garden are striking.
It is almost like being in a tree-house, she claimed, due to the woodland surrounding.
For those who think they do not want to spend property development finance on 'ordinary' glass, there are many variations on the material in existence.
Heat-resistant, triple-glazed, strengthened and heated are just some of the forms of glass that many properties use.
Viewers of Grand Designs may remember the home of Jim and Simone Fairfull, who built a glass-themed property overlooking a Scottish loch.
"The glass was the all-important aspect and I fought tooth and nail with the planning authorities to have it," Mr Fairfull told the publication.
According to reports last year the couple decided to sell the property and start another project.
