Property development finance may be required after it was announced that a housing project in Hounslow is underway.
Worth more than £30 million, the regeneration project hopes to solve the problem of overcrowded properties in the area.
Some 190 new homes will be built, ranging from one bedroom apartments to houses with three bedrooms.
Hounslow Council and Hounslow Homes agreed on the project with United House, which is a social housing contractor and developer.
Demolition work will now be carried out on the existing properties so that residents may be transferred to their new abodes.
Councillor Jon Hardy explained that it is part of a promise to locals who want to raise their children in the area.
"At present there is a shortage of affordable family-sized homes and some families are forced to live in overcrowded conditions while others spend long periods in temporary accommodation," he told This is Local London
Hounslow Homes is aiming to hand over the properties by November this year.
