There are a lot of options available for attractive kitchen flooring, it has been said.
Some individuals may be considering taking out property development finance to purchase stone floors, but interior designer Carolyn Parker stated these can crack.
She recommended the use of limestone, which is "very, very practical".
However, the specialist stated the fitting received might not look identical to what was on the sample, as stone is a natural product.
As homeowners can be concerned about this, Ms Parker promoted ceramic tiles, which are less likely to break and all look the same.
These items are "fantastic", she declared, calling them "so realistic".
Lined oak is also a popular flooring choice at the moment, the expert argued, claiming it fits in with the natural fabric tones that are currently trendy, as well as appearing calming and light.
Individuals are becoming "slightly bored" with dark wooden boards, Ms Parker asserted.
Kitchens are an increasingly common location for wood flooring, although many people believe this is impractical, she stated.
"Beautiful wooden flooring" can also look attractive in bathrooms alongside underfloor heating, interior designer George Bond recently commented.
