Investors 'looking at UK commercial property'

More investors could be seeking commercial mortgages, according to a survey claiming that many people plan to purchase commercial property in the UK.
Over 90 per cent of real estate investors said they would either keep or increase their allocation of such property, the survey by Investec Private Bank revealed yesterday (March 8th).
Some 370 investors were questioned on whether or not they thought commercial property levels would rise this year, Reuters reports.
And 54 per cent thought valuations would stabilise in 2010.
Paul Stevens, head of the Structured Property Finance division at the organisation, said: "UK commercial property is looking increasingly attractive to many investors."
This means that yields are likely to narrow in the coming months, he added.
Results of the survey come as the latest UK Housing Market survey was released by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
According to the publication, supply is beginning to dominate over demand.
