Liverpool ''offers investment opportunities'' - commercial mortgages

Those who are interested in taking out commercial mortgages may be interested to read about increasing opportunities for investment in Liverpool.

Speaking to the Liverpool Daily Post, David Guest of Bruntwood described how the company is planning to increase its portfolio in the city because of its possibilities for expansion.

He dismissed fears about the effects of the credit crunch on the economy and professed confidence in the market for office space, which could be good news for holders of commercial mortgages.

"Everyone is buoyant about expansion. Inquiries seem to be at a good level. Take-ups remain positive," Mr Guest told the publication.

He added that larger city centres seem to offer the best investment opportunities in the commercial market.

Liverpool''s current status as a European Capital of Culture this year may also attract increased investment to the city.
