MP to speak at NLA conference - buy to let mortgages
08 October 2008
The National Landlords Association (NLA) has announced the programme of events for its first national conference.
Held on Saturday November 29th at the Jurys Inn hotel in Birmingham, the body - which represents 20,000 UK landlords - will offer those with buy to let mortgages the chance to discuss several issues.
A number of guest speakers will attend the occasion, including Iain Wright, the parliamentary under secretary of state at Communities and Local Government.
The NLA described Mr Wright as a "champion" of the private rental market.
Other keynote speakers include Andrew Heywood from the Council of Mortgage Lenders and housing expert Professor Tony Crook.
David Salusbury, the chairman of the NLA, commented: "Whether a landlord is just tipping their toes into an anxious market or has been managing a large portfolio for years, the National Conference has something for everyone."
Meanwhile the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries has called on the government to aid the housing market without imposing too much regulation.
