Manchester commercial mortgage holders 'to see continued strength'

Commercial mortgage holders in Manchester have had a good 2010 and the industry should continue to perform well.
This is the opinion of experts from surveyors GVA, who told the Manchester Evening News this year is set to be a strong one of business real estate.
"With areas such as Lancashire not having a local enterprise partnership yet, we will start to see the main urban centres place clear water between them and the region's smaller centres," partner at the organisation Simon Reynolds said.
His colleague Andrew Pexton predicted premium rent levels will be set on "what will essentially be finance deals" following at least two design and build contracts signed for large warehouses in 2011, while Mr Reynolds believes the completion of MediaCityUK in Salford Quays will make a big difference to the area.
Commercial mortgage holders may consider charging their occupants monthly rents, as the British Retail Consortium recently called for landlords to ask for payments more regularly than on a quarterly basis.
