Buy to let owners may consider energy supplier alternatives, after the National Landlords Association (NLA) made a new recommendation.
E.ON UK has been added to the NLA's recognised supplier list for landlords.
This means that buy to let owners who get their gas and electricity from the supplier can expect competitive pricing alongside environmental assurance.
A landlord pack can be found on E.ON's website, which advises buy to let owners how to make property more energy efficient.
Head of marketing at NLA Paul Berwick said: "When dealing with an affordable, environmentally-conscious company like E.ON, landlords can be assured of reliable and effective customer service and a commitment to providing them with the greenest energy at the best price."
Landlords may also pay a monthly fee to the supplier which would ensure that, should a property's hot water or heating system stop working, there will be no expensive "surprises", it was claimed.
E.ON is the largest investor-owned power and gas company in the world, its website states.
