New NLA board director announced - buy to let mortgages
20 May 2009
Members of the National Landlords Association (NLA) with buy to let mortgages will have heard this week that the group has a new board director.
In a statement made yesterday, the NLA welcomed professional landlord Sussanne Chambers to her role.
She immediately indicated some of her targets for the industry, stating that the private rented sector must adhere to the "highest standards of customer service".
Ms Chambers revealed that the "overwhelming majority" of landlords she talks to at convention across the UK believe professional development is a key factor in the industry moving forward.
This comes in the month that the Association of Residential Letting Agents and the Communities and Local Government department have both announced schemes to monitor letting firms and landlords.
David Salusbury, chairman of the NLA, welcomed Ms Chambers' arrival, saying: "The sector is going through a period of change and growth and Sussanne is perfectly placed to help deal with these changes."
