Buy to let landlords may be interested in an energy tariff, which offers customers the chance to read their own meters.
Landlords may consider the iSave2 tariff from First: utility. Tenants or their landlords could submit regular meter readings and receive £5 for each one they submit.
This reward can be claimed a maximum of four times per year - meaning that those who submit the readings could make £20 annually.
Head of energy at Confused.com Gareth Kloet said: "First:utility aims to minimise the estimated billing roulette."
The discount that this tariff gives means that, where it is available, it is the cheapest on offer, he added.
First:utility states that the company is the UK's cheapest dual fuel energy supplier.
An average of less than £900 is spent annually on residential energy bills, it claims.
Free smart meters are currently being offered to certain British homes, which could help users to save money.
