New tenant for Playfair House - commercial mortgages

A new commercial tenant has taken up residency in the recently refurbished Playfair House in Edinburgh, marking the second letting since the building was refurbished.

IT specialists Aspect Tools will be based in the third floor of the prominent Edinburgh office building which is expected to attract a healthy level of interest from local businesses, including those with commercial mortgages.

Property Executive reports that Aspect Tools has secured a five year lease for the equivalent of £14.50 per square foot. Alison Tinker of Aspect Tools is optimistic over the new development.

"We had been seeking good quality, centrally-located, open plan offices for some time and Playfair House satisfied our requirement ideally."

CB Richard Ellis, which operates Playfair House, is confident that further tenants will be attracted in the future.

Concern has recently surfaced over Edinburgh''s commercial property sector, which has been notably outperformed by Glasgow over the past year.
