Office development is ''a success'' - commercial mortgages

A newly-finished commercial development in Crewe has seen a considerable amount of interest since its completion two weeks a go, it has emerged.

Developers with commercial mortgages may be interested to learn that Preston-based Maple Grove Developments has already secured one agreement with a business after redeveloping Crewe Hall Farm into office space, the Sentinel reports.

Measuring just over three acres, the site provides 27,000 sq ft of office space and has attracted the interest of two other businesses.

According to the development director, Andy Lakin, the building is not "standard office accommodation".

"This is a bit more niche and we can see it appealing to creative companies, for example advertising firms or architects," he said.

Furthermore, a number of green systems have been employed on the site to improve the energy efficiency of the offices.

Yesterday, the Department for Communities and Local Government stated that the average office in the UK has a C grade energy rating.
