Peterborough law firm expands property team - commercial mortgages
28 February 2008
A law firm in Peterborough is expanding its commercial property team, it has been reported.
Hegarty has now added a new solicitor to its team dealing in the industry, the Peterborough Evening Telegraph reports, news which may be an indication that the city is performing better than most when it comes to commercial property.
Earlier this month the paper reported that the city was bucking the trend as demand rises from firms looking for premises in the East of England region.
Those with commercial mortgages looking for investment hotspots may also be interested in news that Edinburgh also appears to be performing well.
The Edinburgh News reported this week that in the last three months of 2007 the take-up of office space in the Scottish capital was 13 per cent higher than in the previous quarter.
Big deals included the 57,000 sq ft lease at Exchange Crescent by law company Shepherd & Wedderburn''s, plus the HBOS deal to take up 62,000 sq ft at Lochrin Square.
