Property demand 'still exists' - Commercial Mortgages
18 August 2008
The demand for commercial property is still there, despite the credit crunch, it has been claimed.
In news that may encourage those with commercial mortgages, a number of businesses across Yorkshire are looking to rent or own better and larger properties, the Business Desk reports.
A prime example cited is that of Yeomans Industries, an engineering firm in York, which has transferred its operations to a larger unit at the Escrick Business Park.
Phil Hill, spokesman for the business park's owner S Harrison Developments, commented: "Despite tales of gloom there are clearly many thriving businesses in the region who see the benefit of owning well designed, well built and well located premises, for offices, warehousing or manufacturing."
It is not only in Yorkshire is it just in Yorkshire where trade parks are increasingly popular.
Kirkland Developments are awaiting a decision from Fylde council on a proposed nine-unit business park at Whitehills near Blackpool, the Blackpool Gazette reports.
