Regional commercial space 'has investment potential'

Commercial mortgages outside of London could potentially provide good financial opportunities, according to one expert.
Ezra Nahome, chief executive at Lambert Smith Hampton, told a Property Week webinar that land in the capital is still strong but there is "quite a lot of uncertainty in the regions".
Investors are "just starting to see the beginnings" of growth in these areas, but this is "from a very low base", he continued.
The expert explained there is a particularly wide value disparity in some areas compared to London, which in itself is encouraging this confused market.
Mr Nahome declared that Scotland contains financial opportunities and the country's office space market in particular has seen a good recovery.
He compared this to Thames Valley, where investor interest is reduced while demand from tenants increases
The expert's comments follow research from CB Richard Ellis, which found rents in the UK's commercial property market remained largely steady during the second quarter of 2011.
