Small business demand boosts city''s property prospects - commercial mortgages

Demand for prestigious office space in Leeds from small firms has been growing, providing new opportunities for commercial property providers, it has been reported.

Local property developer Bulford Park Estates has just completed work on Fountain House, which is located on South Parade in the centre, in order to provide space for such enterprises, reports the businessdesk.com.

In news which may interest those considering taking out commercial mortgages, the company''s development director Charlie Cudworth told the website there has been a gap in the market despite the recent completion of a number of new business premises in the city .

He said: "There really isn''t anything for the smaller business looking for Grade A accommodation of 5,000 sq ft or less on a single dedicated floor located in the city''s traditional core business area," adding that the company hoped to meet this demand.

Recent office developments in Leeds include Bridgewater Place, which was completed last year and is the tallest building in the city.
