Now is "as good a time as any" to establish a new business, according to a spokesperson for workplace solutions provider Regus.
Starting a company may require an entrepreneur undertaking research to see what the best commercial property mortgage options are - in fact, the Regus representative says there are many things to be taken into consideration before setting up a firm.
He also warned that people should not be "too hasty" when making their commercial plans, however "if you have been made redundant, you've received compensation [and] you think you've got a great business idea, then why not [form a new company]?".
Figures released by Barclays in the spring indicated that new businesses remained at high levels in 2008 - rising from 432,300 in 2007 to 436,600 last year.
However, as the financial crisis took hold at the end of 2008, fewer start-ups were reported in the second half of the year.
