A vicarage in West Bromwich is to be renovated to provide space for ministry trainees, who will work within the local community and religious institution.
The Holy Trinity Church Vicarage is to have its third floor refurbished, which will involve transforming the existing rooms into a lounge with a bathroom and kitchenette, as well as two bedrooms, the Express and Star reports.
Furthermore, furniture and heating will also be purchased and remedial work must be done before the main scheme can begin.
Property development finance was secured through the Walter Stanley Trust, which provides money in order to promote the Church of England throughout the deanery in West Bromwich.
It intends for this to encourage all of the nine parishes within the area to have full staffing.
The church will repay the loan over five years.
"Currently the rooms on the third floor are unheated and uncomfortable," vicar of the church Reverend Neil Robbie was quoted by the news source as saying.
