West Brom recommended for property investors - buy to let mortgages
18 November 2008
A site manager has recommended a new development in West Bromwich as a good place for those with buy to let mortgages to invest in.
Jason Lines, an employee of George Wimpey West Midlands, has bought one of the flats he helped to build and is letting it out.
He claimed the two-bedroom apartment in the Wesley Gardens development was attractive because it offered "sheer value for money".
"I found a young professional tenant straight away and the rent more than makes it self sufficient," he said.
Mr Lines noted that the town is an "up-and-coming" area and that it offers easy access to the M5 and M6 motorway, making it a good prospect for attracting professional tenants.
"Despite what the doom and gloom merchants say, property is still the safest investment option," he argued.
West Bromwich is governed by Sandwell council and is situated approximately five miles from Birmingham.
