Yorkshire tourism group moves offices - commercial mortgages
05 May 2009
In addition to a recent rebranding exercise, Yorkshire Tourist Board has changed offices.
Having no doubt considered the implications regarding commercial mortgages, the newly-named Welcome to Yorkshire group now resides in the centre of Leeds.
Under its previous name, the organisation's headquarters had been based at the Dry Sand Foundation in York, but the move has been made to the larger city of Leeds in order to help make the county one of the top visitor destinations in the world.
The change of address comes as Welcome to Yorkshire rolls out a new advertising campaign which aims to encourage more people to head to the region, reports the Business Desk.
Cinema, television and internet marketing is being used to try and convince the world that "A long weekend in Yorkshire isn't long enough".
Other small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking advice on issues such as commercial mortgages may want to attend a seminar hosted by Barclays this month.
The lender has set up a number of dates, starting in Nottingham tomorrow, where it will talk to SMEs about various financial issues.
