Trained as a civil engineer at Sheffield University and with 10 years as an officer in the Royal Engineers, David joined John Charcol in 1987. He founded Mortgages for Business in 1990 and has twice been President of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (1994 and 2001), the trade body that promotes best practice and self regulation in the commercial finance industry. With three other brokers he founded UKCFG (United Kingdom Commercial Funding Group) in 1997 to design wholesale Buy to Let and Commercial Mortgage schemes.

After graduating in 2003, Michael began his career at Holiday Extras as a Marketing Assistant, moving quickly into a Marketing Executive role. Michael then became the sole Marketing Executive for both Holiday Extras theatre and theme park breaks products, handling all their online marketing activity. After a brief spell at James Villa Holidays, Michael joined Mortgages for Business in November 2006.
Michael is responsible for the online marketing activity at Mortgages for Business including Pay per Click advertising, email campaigns and search engine optimisation.
Sarah Lacey BA (Hons), Marketing Executive

After graduating from the University of Birmingham, Sarah began her career in marketing with asset management company, Curzon Global Partners. She then joined the Global Private Banking division of Royal Bank of Canada where she was responsible for the marketing and PR of the Corporate and Institutional division. Sarah joined Mortgages for Business in 2007.
Sarah holds a Bachelor English degree from the University of Birmingham and she is also currently studying for her CIM Postgraduate Professional Diploma. Sarah is responsible for all marketing elements of the marketing mix in the Business Partner operation.
Mark Ryan, Head of IT

Mark graduated as a Systems Engineer and subsequently moved into the software industry, working his way up to becoming an Enterprise Resource Planning systems consultant responsible for scoping software requirements for companies ranging from toy manufacturers to cutlery distributers. He joined Mortgages for Business in 2005 where he has since earned his Microsoft Certified Application Developer status and developed the Bluesky sourcing and fulfilment system.
Mark is responsible for the further development of software and systems both in the front and back office of Mortgages for Business.
