Job title: Marketing and Research Director
Date joined: August 2010
Role: Jenny's job is to attract and engage customers. This involves promoting Mortgages for Business both off and online. So if you've contacted us because you've read about us in the press, met us at a trade show, seen an ad, follow us on social media feed or used a search engine, then it's likely that Jenny had a hand in your journey to our door.
A strategic thinker with 20 years' business and marketing experience, Jenny believes that customers make wiser finance decisions when they have access to the right information. That is why we communicate not just the latest buy to let mortgage rates but also detailed market research and insight across both the residential and commercial property investment finance sectors.
In addition to heading up the marketing function and working closely with her team, Jenny is a member of the senior management team.
Experience: Jenny left university with BA Hons in Fine Art and Geography and quickly realised that drawing maps for a living wasn't going to float her boat job-wise.
Initially, she got a job with a firm of accountants as a manager's assistant in the insolvency department. The role may not have been a jolly one but it did teach her what is needed to make a business successful and what can happen if it's not. From there, she moved into marketing working for both international corporations and start-up businesses across a variety of industries including financial services, technology, events and training and publishing.
Results driven, her key skills are understanding the bigger picture and being able to communicate relevant and cohesive businesses messages to all stakeholders across multiple channels.
In 2006, Jenny took a break from corporate life to raise a family but still found time to buy, renovate, open and subsequently sell a 5-star guest house. Black Rock House remains one of Hastings' most popular B&Bs.
When not hanging out with her family, Jenny sings in an a capella folk trio called Little Roc (available for weddings, funerals, bar mitzvahs - at weekends only!). She is a parent governor at her children's secondary school and she volunteers for RAP, an arts partnership programme which aims to bring cultural events to the rural community in which she lives.
Oh, and she owns a holiday let in Camber, East Sussex, so if you're looking to take UK holiday just a stone's through from the South East's largest sandy beach take a look at Looney Dunes.
It's a Wonderful Life
