Access: As the name suggests Santander for Intermediaries is an intermediary only buy to let lender, meaning its rates can only be accessed through select business partners, including Mortgages for Business.

Buy to let mortgages: We tend to approach Santander on behalf of existing landlords, who are looking to purchase or remortgage standard buy to let property, including new builds. Santander often offer cashback incentives and are also one of a select few lenders who allow remortgages within 6 months. On a selection of its products it offers a free standard valuation. It does impose a minimum income requirement of £25,000 per annum and require all applicants to be 21 years or older.

BTL rental cover increased from 125% to 145% ahead of the PRA changes that came into place on 1st Jan 2017. Tiered BTL affordability rates based on LTV have been removed, and a single affordability rate of 5.50% up to and including 75% LTV will be applied.

Residential mortgages:
Santander offers a range of mortgages to home-buyers and those looking to remortgage. It caters for new builds, Help to Buy, large loans, shared ownership and 95% LTV mortgages.
