Job title: Sales Director
Date joined: September 2006
Role: As Business Development Director, Jeni is the face of MFB and is responsible for raising our profile both within the mortgage industry and with clients alike. As part of her role, she focuses on educating borrowers by keeping them aware of market changes and helps them to understand what is possible with their finance options. She produces regular blogs and vlogs and is a familiar face speaking at landlord events. Additionally, Jeni liaises with the press (she is the resident Buy to Let Expert at What Mortgage Magazine) and works on projects which help our clients get great financial outcomes.
If that wasn’t enough (!), she also manages her extensive client base and spends a large amount of time looking after her clients. Her knowledge of the mortgage industry is second to none, and she has a real knack for explaining complicated, jargon-filled funding concepts.
In 2014 and 2019, Jeni was nominated in the category of Buy to Let Broker at the British Mortgage Awards. In 2019 she was a finalist in the Financial Reporter’s Women’s Recognition Awards as Mortgage Adviser of the Year.
Experience: Jeni began working in the mortgage industry when she achieved her Financial Planning Certificate in 1998. She has worked for several large firms including mortgage broker John Charcol. She has built up a broad knowledge of the buy to let, residential and commercial mortgage markets. Her professional qualifications include a certificate in Business Banking and Conduct (CertBB&C), Advanced Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and a certificate in Money Laundering Prevention.
Favourite film: Dumb & Dumber
