No! Buy to let mortgages are only available on properties that are immediately habitable. If the property requires improvements before it can be let you may have to take out bridging or refurbishment finance first. Once the property is ready to let, you can then refinance onto a buy to let mortgage but this can be costly so make sure you do your sums.
